Fine monitor and great value
I was looking for a large monitor to go with my laptop, did a bit of research and settled on a 24" as 27" would'nt fit my desk space. As the laptop is an HP, I had a look at the HP monitors with high resolution (1920x 1080 minimum) and this one seemed to tick the boxes: HDMI, DVI and mini-DisplayPort inputs, as well as 4 USB ports, so I could plug in the mouse and keyboard and not have to have them attached to the laptop. Nice. I haven't tried the mini DisplayPort yet, I'm hoping that it will allow me to disconnect the USB and HDMI cables from the laptop making it even easier to set everything up in the mornings. Setting it up was simple: just plug it in and turn it on. Its nice and sharp at max resolution, colours are fine (I'm no expert, but it looks great to me), and I can charge my phone off it as well! I got a nice price as an ex-display unit, but it came with guarantee and in the retail box. I'm tempted to get another one if one comes along at the right price.

Well worth the money
Needed an upgraded processor to run Star Wars, did some research on the motherboard and through Intel and came up with this one and an Extreme chip as the best the board could handle. Decided to opt for this as the Extreme was a lot more money and with the graphics card we also needed that would have put us over budget. I had to buy some thermal paste, but the swap was easy and the PC started up, recognised the new processor and its been working smoothly ever since. Its running Windows XP SP3 on a Foxconn motherboard with 4GB RAM, its temperatures and voltages are fine and it does everything we wanted it to. A very cost effective upgrade and has kept an older PC running that would otherwise have ended up in the bin.
