appetite for perfection
druggy, dark, brooding and insane. don't let the radio hits fool you, this is xxx rated material. axel is a wild dog with teeth set to bit. of all of that shame that was "Heavy Metal" and the hair rock that spawned the scene, this is a singular masterpiece. the best hard rock album of all time. period.

"Mockingbird.." is a small collection for those who already know Buk. it serves as a bridge between the chaos and lyricism of "Days..." and the raw sex of "Love is a Dog from Hell". by 1972, Buk is no longer obscure, no longer working at the post office but not yet fully engaged in the "research" that will make him famous. it is not the best, either by content or value for dollar (159 pages), but it contains pieces that the initiated must have( "girl in a miniskirt...", "radio", "consummation of grief" and especially "the shower"). DO NOT give this as an intro . DO NOT give this to your Grandmother. give it to the chronic alcoholic, the dejected, a lover you plan to leave. give it to yourself, to read in the tub with a glass of wine and nowhere to go.
