Add this one to your collection, but......

In a very important way, this is and should be considered a great album. My only problem with it is that it's not at all like her work with Louis Prima. It's almost like she was trying to prove that in spite of the raucous jazz and rock influences of Louis Prima, she could still sing very sophisticated and 'all grown up'(if you will).... Where it fails for me is that, in this Nelson Riddle-arranged set of tunes, she ends up sounding like a massaged homogenated blend of indescript jazz-pop singers of the day (late 50's). If you like the sound of Frank Sinatra's orchestra behind a perfect female singer, then get this album. If you're looking for something more exciting and rock-oriented, like her earlier work with Louis Prima and Sam Butera, you will probably be bored by this set of tunes like I was. All that said, Keely Smith is one of THE BEST!!

good flick for escaping

vintage bob hope. great sets and clothes. the comedy is maybe a little too sublime by today's standards, but enjoyable nonetheless.
