Until that Time, Eustis, Until that Time
1 of 1 found this helpful I didn't like it as much as I expected to. I think I had a crush on Steve McQueen when I saw it last and loved Jackie Gleason from The Hustler.
McQueen was having an affair with his co-star and he and Gleason didn't get along for most of the picture so I think that influenced me. Also, I saw it late at night when I kept falling asleep.
Eustis just kept depending on his Sergeant to fix everything for him and it came to roost.
Liked it for what it was; a story about army life on a base that was closing and the shenanigans of supply non-coms.

Magic and then Some!!!
1 of 1 found this helpful Awesome version of King Arthur. Best I've seen. In this tale, Arthur is the leader of a band of Knights gathered from all over Europe and Asia at the age of 12, trained to be knights and serve for 15 years by the Romans and ordered by Rome and Vatican do their bidding.
Af this time all of them are due to be released to go home but the Vatican interferes and they are sent north to rescue a Saxon Family and have to leave the safety of Hadrian's Wall. Enter Merlin and a pagan girl who Arthur is attracted to and protects and cares for.
Rome is pulling their troops and leaving the natives in the region to fend for themselves against the Saxons.
Ione Griffuc plays Lancelot and Gawaine, and alll the other knights are there plus a new few. It's quite an adventurous tale of strategy, daring, courage and valor. Compared to today's government rulers, it kind of makes me sad.
It's Old English England, a rip roaring tale of old. I have loved it more every time I've seen it.

Alexander Dumas'--Count of Monte Cristo-Best version ever!!!!!!
Loved these disks and the film. I've always remembered this mini-series as I love Gerard Depardieu. He's great as the Count of Monte Cristo and his right hand man is terrific. You'll love him!
After a while the English subtitles don't bother you at all. Read the other reviews of this mini-series. A tale of redemption and revenge and marvelous adventures. They went on site to film the series, Morroco was just one of the lovely spots.
Get the Man in the Iron Mask for another hilarious version of one of the three Musketeers. Gerard is aging, impotent, and thinking he wants to die. They are all older and it's quite a romp.
Gerard is a chef in The Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. Gerard has breadth, and depth, and charm.
He's dark and dangerous as the Count.
I love this set disks. Hope you will too! Read the other reviews; they are far better than mine.
