Couture Chocolate: A Masterclass in Chocolate, Very Good Condition Book, Curley,

Informative book with lots of coloured photographs

I'm delighted with this book. It has in excess of 200 pages containing clear and easy to understand recipes and coloured photographs. There are chapters on making chocolate truffles, couture chocolates, chocolate bars, cakes, biscuits, patisserie, ice creams and sauces. The author, William Curley, has put together a great book for anyone seriously interested in working with chocolate and learning the skills to become a chocolatier. I can highly recommend this book for inspirational ideas.

A personal story of one of royal wedding cakes

This is a short A5 booklet recalling a personal story of the making and delivery of one of the royal wedding cakes for the marriage of Princess Elizabeth (Daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth) to Phillip Mountbatten. The cake was manufactured by a Somerset bakery despite food being on rationing from WWII. The booklet contains personal family photographs and is, quite simply, a lovely read. I was sad to finish it at one sitting. Delightful!

Colour photographs of inspiring sugar flowers

This is a lovely book which was printed a number of years ago. The information contained within it is still relevant. The author is well known in the sugar craft world and she has produced some delightful arrangements. There are lots of coloured photographs of sugar flowers and I feel inspired by its content. Definitely a book for my cake decorating bookshelf.
