Highly original
1 of 1 found this helpful From the opening scene I was completely engaged. The central protagonist is a complex and basically unlikeable ( difficult ) character. As the story unfolds a certain sympathy for her is felt. She is so much her own worst enemy.
This film is so well directed, I was constantly involved and carried the characters in my imagination for days after each episode (didn't watch it at one sitting). Lighting, camerawork and particularly wardrobe were faultless.
Also there is a sly but telling sense of humour at work which lightens what could be quite a dark piece.
After seeing this read the book - it is brilliant.

Excellent and useful.
I have no sense of direction. I can use maps and do plan routes but if I go off route can thrash around lost thus wasting time and fuel.
I had wanted a Sat Nav for a very long time but couldn't / wouldn't buy new. Garmin had been recommended to me. This one came with the original box - always a sign of a careful owner. In fact when it arrived it had the original screen protector.
I like everything about this little gadget. The voice is clear, route setting simple and I can upgrade via my computer. The speed camera warning is super and an unlooked for bonus.
I can't compare it with others as I have never owned or used one before.

Polly searches for her Father
This is a brilliantly told story about a child's love for her father. Although written for children it does not talk down to them. The author's illustrations bring out the wild magic of the northern tundra and its native species. The heartbeat of life beating through line and colour can be actually felt; a real achievement.
Pity its out of print.
