Revisiting The Shining - what happened afterwards.
A movie that keeps the viewer engrossed. An interesting concept and links well to The Shining, giving good closure. The characters are believable and carry the movie well. Great hero, and compelling 'baddies'.

Book of Daniel - The Complete Series (2006, DVD)
1 of 1 found this helpful This series has it all. It tackles provocative and difficult situations with not only humour but also with intelligence and compassion. Aidan Quinn is superb as the Rev. Daniel Webster, a minister, who not only has to cope with a family who is anything but conventional, but who also often finds himself crossing swords with the church hierarchy led by Ellen Burstyn as the Bishop. He is often guided through these difficult times by 'Jesus' (who only he can see). 'Jesus' has a good grip on modern day life and a good sense of humour. I believe it was taken off the air after a few weeks in the USA because it offended some people... I can't imagine why - it is not in the least bit sacrilegious - unless you are extremely narrow minded, or just looking for something to complain about! The script is very well written, the acting impressive, and I can only hope that they make a second series. It is definitely worth buying.

Great laughs, great characters, and great storyline. Brings humour to being a spy.
The characters draw you into the storyline. They are hilariously funny, even the baddies are funny because they are so cliched, like pantomime villains. You can see the jokes coming a mile off, but they are still funny, and still make you laugh. Rowan Atkinson brings Johnny English to life, and there are scenes in the movie that just make you laugh out loud. He is brilliant, not suave or perfect like Bond, but much more enjoyable. Bough if a great character, a brilliant spy in his own right, but living in the shadow of Johnny English. I hope they make more of these movies. Well worth every penny.
