Good performance, lightweight, small volume

Early days yet but I've done two portable ops so far with this J-pole from small hilltops for Summits on the Air (SOTA) with the antenna hanging vertically from the top of a (collapsible) 5m pole. I got excellent signal reports using 5W FM. The 10ft coax feeder was long enough to allow connection to my 2m HT at chest height. The weight and (coiled up) volume are smaller than my previous J-pole antenna (which had a large choke coil) making it ideal for crowded backpacks on portable ops.
