Sub woof average.
Higher frequencies (eg speech) sounds like its coming from the bottom of a well filled with socks.
Must admit my pc only has 1 3.5mm jack output and this system should use 2 outputs. Doubt that should make huge difference.
Stick to Altec Lansing--I have 3 beautiful AL pc speaker sets.
