exciting enormous thrilling deep just dont wake the trees :)
The game system is the best ever created, as a wargamer 30 odd years i know this. it has many different types of units and monsters. the locations from the movies can be created, as well as any setups using the models. what's suprising to me is how well even a single piece of terrain will make the game fly.
the system has the usual min ions to fight with, but then the hero's that lead them have very unusual stats that can be spent to influence many things, as well as special rules the hero's have, are the scenario may have special rules, and you can set your own.
the hero's really bring the game up from normal wargaming to exciting lord of the rings gameplay that feels like heroic play. you feel the success and failures.
then you have the books and movies, as well as special books like the making of the movies, or maps etc... the game world is so deep you can be doing all sorts of battles in any terrain.
you will beleve in magic and heroes and you will be watching those movies over and over. you will be buying the books and finding fantastic items to play with
