Good Ham Gear - STAY AWAY FROM ANSULATORS

Would have been perfect with some sealant around the entry points for the antenna connections. I added that myself.

This product is a GREAT IDEA, with a few rough edges to be worked out!

My primary issue with this night light is that it NEVER goes off! That is not a real show stopper, in general, but it prevents me from giving this device a REALLY GLOWING REVIEW (pun intended). The room I have the device in is on the East side of the house and the night light is on the outside wall, just a few feet from the large double window. Now, granted, the night light's sensor is NOT on the opposite wall to get maximum light... but this room is NOT a dark room by any stretch of the imagination. But STILL... this is a GREAT CONCEPT. and a slight change of the resistor/light sensor would turn this into an indisputable killer product. Once they make the changes I suggested, let me know and I will buy several more of them. Oh and PS... getting the voltage pickups to hit properly was also a pain, but that was mostly attributable to the idiots that wired the sockets in my house. PS the pics below were all taken at the same time... about 7:30P EST.

I guess even a good fabricator can have a bad day...

When I hooked this cable up between my Icom 706 and my Icom SM-20 microphone, nothing worked as it should have. I immediately disconnected the cable and started ohming out the wires. What I found was ALL of the wires were wired incorrectly except the center conductor of the mic connector. I rewired the cable and all was well. I notified the manufacturer of the problem and he promised to "check his stock" to ensure this was an exception. The quality of the materials used are "first rate". The quality control needs some work.
