decent, worth a read

it's old school (1993), and to some degree that is okay. Using black and white pictures it is hard to see where the inletting black left marks on the wood stock. But, in 1993 color photos in a book would have put the price point for the book much higher I'm sure.

decent base map for the price

I'm keeping the basemaps on my Garmin simple. Tracts of Forested areas get logged or burned off, property ownership changes, etc. The couple of Birdseye satellite images I downloaded for areas of Michigan's UP were horribly out of date. And overlaying topo contours on aerial images is not as visible as an old USGS Quad style map. For out hunting out west, I want to clearly see steep ridges, saddles, etc. so 24K Topo maps fit the bill for me....and they are about 1/4th the price of Garmin's OnX maps.
