Cat6 RJ45 Double Face Plate (Gigabit Ethernet Network 2 Port Wall Data Socket)
    06 Dec, 2018
Decent quality, well laid out sockets.
Have ordered these a few times now and am very pleased with the quality. Unlike many (even those with fancy brand names) they are very clearly marked and logically laid out so quick and easy to install; unlike some poor quality modules I've not had any problems with terminals bending or failing to grip the wires first time round. Screws for the faceplate are provided, along with a zip tie to provide strain relief (not always provided with other modules.) The labelling slot has an easy to open flap and comes with a piece of white card which is easily removed to label in a comfortable position. They may not be the most elegant looking sockets, but can't fault them on function.
44-Pin Male IDE To SD Card Adapter Y5
    16 Aug, 2018
Great way to rescue old but important PCs now that IDE hard drives are no longer readily available
Works perfectly, and with a half decent SD card it actually gives far better performance than the old IDE hard drive it replaced. Even better, it works perfectly with a 64GB MicroSD card, despite saying it's limited to 32 GB cards.

Excellent ebook reader, incredible value for money
Having handled every iteration of the Kindle from the beginning and hating or at least disliking every one of them, I was really only persuaded by the Nook's excellent price. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it's a fantastic device, the touchscreen (which I usually hate using) is actually very accurate and sensitive - I find it easier to type accurately on than an iPad. Having seen all too many instances of DRM leaving customers unable to use the products they've purchased when a manufacturer decides to withdraw support for whatever reason, I won't buy DRM handicapped eBooks so can't really comment on that aspect; I did however set up a Nook account which also provides access to the Google Books library and this worked quite well (though the quality of the Google Books is patchy at best) What I really bought this device for was to read the free books from Project Gutenberg and it is absolutely perfect for this purpose; I couldn't be more happy with it. Books are easily dropped on the device either using an SD card or via USB (the Nook appears as a straightforward Mass Storage device so works well with any modern OS) One of the real selling points for me was the knowledge that, should I want to do more with the Nook than B&N permitted, the device is easily "rooted" and all sorts of applications installed (including the Amazon Kindle app, should you desire.) So far I've been very happy with the default software and don't envisage bothering changing it, but it's always reassuring to know that you are not going to end up with a useless paperweight if the manufacturers lose interest in supporting it. In summary, this device feels very high quality (in my opinion, better than the comparable Kindle) and is packaged and presented as well as any Apple device. It is very straightforward to use, the page changes quickly enough to not be irritating and the display is quite clear and even displays images quite nicely; the SD card slot allows for huge amounts of additional storage if necessary and there are really not many changes I could ask for (waterproofing being perhaps the only one that comes to mind)
