The Christmas Bus
1 of 1 found this helpful Really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed for such a short book. Felt like you knew them! Love the bed and breakfast angle, too... and the interaction of the various characters. A touching story all in all. I'm hooked on Melody Carlson!

The Christmas Scrapbook
2 of 2 found this helpful As usual, the folks of Harmony gave me a smile...and some chuckles, too! Then I have to read parts to my husband when he asks me what I'm chuckling about! Gulley knows human nature, and this quaint little town, makes even the everyday stuff of life warm and interesting, and humorous! Got a chuckle out of how the small town gossip mill was in such fine working order, and everything just snowballed from there! A good short read!!

I'm hooked on Dr Blake Mysteries!
3 of 3 found this helpful I recently finished binge watching 3 seasons Dr Blake Mysteries via streaming. I had to order Season 4 on DVD , and now I'm waiting on season 5 to be available. I also purchased the first 3 seasons on DVD, so I'll have my own copy should they not be available to stream in the future! I can't think of anything I don't like about the series. I'm attached to the characters, the time period is interesting, and I love the Aussie accents! The 'mysteries' in each episode are interesting, but it's Dr Blake who steals the show every episode. While he has his own heartaches, he is a very gentle & caring character, and has a great mind / talent for noticing details and logically reading the clues to solve the mystery.......of course, with a little help from his friends! The ongoing side storylines about his mother, and his family play out a little at a time as you move through episodes , keeping one guessing, and adding more depth and interest to the characters and the series. No wonder this show is such a hit in Australia!
