Have Had Two For Years
0 of 1 found this helpful This item I ordered is actually a gift for my daughter (her birds actually!). I am waiting for her to let me know if their pesky squirrel has enjoyed a spin around the yard.... I ordered it for her since I have had two of them for years and know they work, they are made well and last for ages with care, the battery in one needed replacing after about four years, I thought that was a good life. I charged it only randomly as the charge held well. If you have a squirrel that is insistent, the battery will fade more often but that only happened a few times (until they learned to ignore the feeder and go to an easier source). I used them in Maine in freezing weather, and now on the West coast with rain.... You do have to take them apart to clean the seed portal about every other week or so if there is a bit of rain or snow and the portal remains soggy (an easy chore). A good product.
