Transfer photos from camera to Android phone wirelessly!
Brilliant little device to give older digital cameras a way to connect wirelessly. Note it needs a microSD card installed in the adaptor to work as this is where the photos get stored when a picture is taken.
Install WIFI@SDCF. Switch on camera. On the phone, enter Wifi settings and connect to Wifi@SD access point (default password 999999). Launch WIFI@SDCF app and use browse option to view and download selected photos to the phone.

Simple but effective.
Just a set of three bits of plastic, that do the job they were designed for very well. SIMs fit snuggly into the recesses, held in place by a thin layer of double-sided sticky tape - no chance of dropping out inside the SIM slot. The rear of the SIM carrier has a thin, clear piece of plastic which ensures there is nothing to snag when you try removing the SIM from its slot in the future. Would recommend to others.

Canon SX50 HS superzoom camera
Canon got themselves noticed in the superzoom field with this model: an all-in-one camera with usable 50x zoom. An extensive feature set, fold-out screen and raw capability helped make it a hit. However, a caveat is that its small sensor (1/2.3) means it's best used in good lighting. ISO is limited to 80 if shutter speed is less than 1second, to minimise noise. It does have a special hand-held night mode where 3 shots at higher ISO and shutter speed are combined to help reduce the noise. I love the ability to get photos of even distant objects. Note that restrictions on maximum aperture size at full zoom forces slower shutter speeds: best image results will require tripod and imaging rapidly moving distant objects is very trial-and-error.
Note that these issues are common for most superzooms using a small sensor and considering how low the purchase price is for these older cameras, they represent great value-for -money.
