It is cast with no strength
1 of 1 found this helpful This part by factory specs is supposed to machined. The part that I received was cast metal, when I put it in the gun and released the slide part of the slide release went forward with the slide. The pin portion stayed in the gun, the external portion of the release is what broke. Be aware if you are looking for a slide release for you 1911 this is not the one you need.

Wow what a scope
2 of 2 found this helpful This scope is well worth your money. I have bought two of them so far 1 for my own use and one for a buddy who liked mine. When I was coating mine with cerrakote it fell about 6 feet onto a concrete floor. Imagine my horror, now imagine that it is on my AR shooting 1 inch groups at 300 yards. I have fired over 1000 rounds through it since the day I dropped and it spends countless hours bouncing along trails in southern Arizona with no sign of losing it's zero.
What a scope, get it you won't be let down.
