    1986 Porsche 944 Base Coupe 2-Door

    1986 Porsche 944 base model
This is my second attempt at owning a Porsche. Back in 1977, I owned a 1974 Porsche 914 1.8 liter. That car was a joy to drive. Only downside to it was on a hot day, it would be vapor lock and you would have to sit and let the car cool down before you could continue on. So far, I have owned this 944 for a little over 3 weeks. It is a joy to drive. It came with 18 inch wheels so the ride is a little harsher then with the 15" regular wheels. I may switch back to them sometime in the future. I really enjoying driving this car. There is a local mechanic here who fixes 944s from the day they were introduced back in 1983. He himself owns a few 944s so I feel pretty confident in his ability to properly fix the car. He said as long as you keep the proper maintenance on these cars, they can easily last 200-300k miles...

    Canon EOS 1D Mk1 4.2 megapixel camera
This was my 5th purchase of the classic EOS 1D camera. I have a Canon EOS 40D, previously owned the 30D, the 10D, and the D30. All of the older Canon models are unique in their own way. I loved the colors of the first one, the D30. Everytime, I sold my 1D to upgrade to a newer model, I always came back to the 1D. For a 4.2 megapixel camera, you can get some great pix. I've used it to photograph Youth Symphony photos, there is noise above 800 ISO but with the noiseware software out there, you can get some pretty good shots... It is a great sports camera. About the only downfall that I noticed with the original 1D was battery life. They have a healthy appetite for batteries. Usually, if you can get 200+ shots per battery, you're doing pretty good. That's about the most I was ever to get out of a battery. I've ready where some people claim they got 400+, that was never the case with me. If you're looking for a camera that you want to take sports photos with and cant afford the mark2 or mark 3, you definitely have a winner with the original 1D. I'm on my 5th one and I'm totally pleased with it.

Older club but still worth its weight in gold. Try one, you'll like it.
Ping Eye 2 Sand Wedge. Even though these came out in the 80s, these clubs still rock. I had a set of these years ago and always one to test the new waters, usually trade in an older set for the newest technology. I always miss the Ping Eye 2s versatility around the greens. Once you learn how to use it, you can replace the lob wedge and just use the sand wedge. Just open the face a little, open your stance and you can make it a 64 degree wedge with a little effort. Just stumbled upon one that was refurbished and couldn't pass it up to add back to my bag. If you've never hit the Eye 2's, give them a try. Sweet club.
