Excellent music from a surprisingly entertaining film
The film is much more enjoyable than the reviews suggested. The soundtrack music is excellent. I'm very pleased to have it on CD.

Ingenious and hilarious parody
A very funny spoof, seamlessly incorporating scenes from great vintage crime movies, so that Steve Martin interacts with Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Bette Davies, Veronica Lake, Cary Grant, Peter Lorre and a host of others - all incorporated into a mad parody of classic Hollywood noir.
