Light and versatile
I bought these for my Girlfriend who is just getting into BC skiing. I wanted a safe, lightweight and easy to use binding. (I use Shifts and love them, but they're more expensive and not as light) I like Fritschi's toe piece which is DIN releasable, and since she's already had knee replacement surgery, we wanted to protect her body and her investment! I mounted the bindings and was very surprised with how light the ski and binding setup is! The step-in toe is tricky at first, but will get easier with time. I really like the way the Fritschi bindings transition from Alpine to tour mode. She has not used them to tour, but the first time skiing was a success! I'm looking forward to more adventures!

Fun for kids and brings out the inner kid in adults!
I bought this RC Truck for my Son's 9th birthday. Even though he is not within the age range, he really wanted an RC Truck and I thought this would be a good introduction to the hobby. Boy was I surprised the first time we ran this! It is so fast! technology has come a long way since I was a kid! The truck is very durable, it has had many crashes, and *usually* recovers unscathed. The waterproof electronics are another bonus, we live in the Mountains, and spring means wet streets and snow banks, all of which are a blast to drive on, and we don't have to worry about damaging the truck because of the moisture. During one crash, the front right shock was damaged, the great thing about Traxxas RC cars and trucks is they come with a complete parts list and diagram with replacement part numbers. We ordered the replacement part, and now it's as good as new! The On Board Audio (OBA) system is pretty cool! It adds another element to the fun.
I had such a great time driving this truck, I ordered a Traxxas Rustler for me so we can race together. I love the Rustler too, but it's not as durable as the Slash. I've driven it 3 times and broken it 3 times! Once again I was able to get the parts and fix it easily, and I have ordered a larger front bumper (Standard equipment on the Slash) so hopefully it will see more drive time soon.
The only con I have seen with this purchase is the charger that comes with the kit. The first one we received was defective, RC Superstore sent a replacement, but it's hard to tell the birthday boy that he can't play with his new toy. Luckily we found a friend who had a compatible charger. Also it is very SLOW charging batteries. However, since it plugs into an automobile outlet (cigarette lighter), I think we will find it useful when camping over the summer. For home charging, I would recommend, springing $50 for the Traxxas EZ Peak Plus charger. It is faster, plugs into a standard 120v outlet and is compatible with LiPo batteries if you are looking to upgrade.
What more can I say? I love this thing about as much as my son, and am having a blast connecting with him and our new past-time!

Interesting device, I wouldn't pay full price.
I purchased an open-box Tap-Strap 2 for a very good price, I was always curious, and couldn't pass up this opportunity. I've been using it for about a week and my typing speed has improved tremendously, but still not as fast as a QWERTY keyboard. The tutorials and free games are pretty good, and help learning quite a bit. I'm not rating 5 stars because of the amount of gestures it misses, but maybe as I get better I'll work through some of the quirks.
