going down memory lane ...film pretty close to the book
I am a 'mature' person and bought the film because I read the book as a child ....(seems like a hundred years ago ..)
I was hoping for spectacular Mountain scenery and locations( abit like a travel ad.)and did not really exspect to be very entertained.
But I was ....Heidis granddad was superb ,so was Heidi and her aunt was such a character !
Geraldine Chaplin(the Housekeeper) was bitter ,but I could sympathise...sometimes in her childhood she must have had a hard time.
Clara was a little dissapointing and apart from the end ,where she miraculously 'learns 'to walk again,the film is not over sentimental ,but heartwarming!
In my humble opinion the film is a feelgood film for the whole family (exept teenage boys maybe)

Northern ExposureNorthern Exposure - Series 5 - Complet
I own all 5 complete series of Northern exposure.It is my all time favourite show with its quirky characters and unusual ,often surreal storylines !!After watching the series you find yourself yearning to live in a quiet place like Sicily ,Alaska,and interact with all the charming folks there.The 5.series is slightly less good than the previous 4 ,but still EXELLENT and brilliant escapism !
