Works great with Xbox Series X
We needed to get this base because our old base is not compatible with the Xbox Series X we just got.

Won’t fit certain KitchenAid stand mixers.
3 of 3 found this helpful The KitchenAid ice cream kit (model: KAICA) contains three items: the freezer bowl, which works reasonably well; the “dasher” mixer blade, which does what it should, and; the power coupling, which doesn’t fit my KitchenAid mixer, model Professional 6000 HD, as seen in the picture where the coupling won’t seat properly (the coupling has two positions, neither of which works).
The coupling included with the kit also does not match the illustrations on the package exterior. It appears to be an “improved” version of the coupling pictured on the box.
In the picture of the two couplings, you can see the older style coupling on the left and the newer on the right.
To make the kit work, I bought the older style coupling (an additional $40 on eBay). The older coupling fits but after two batches of ice cream, it became apparent why this part needed to be upgraded; the plastic “clutch” at the bottom of the metal spindle can’t handle the torque of the mixer. This clutch fails and is no longer able to turn the dasher.
At the time of writing, I am attempting to make the coupling work by making a new claw plate out of JB Weld.
I rate the item terrible because I think it basically fails to fulfill its warranty of merchantability.

Stainless Steam
2 of 2 found this helpful Look closely at the packaging and you will notice it says "Stainless Steam", which is true--steam does not rust. However, the item rusted the first time I used it. Not recommended. At any price.
