There’s no denying the cheap feeling plastic
Look beyond the cheap brittle plastic with little or no markings to indicate where to locate the correct fitting point on myGRII. The lense hood is of equal light weight plastic offering a degree of protection on those bright days out shooting with this camera. On the positive note when mounted to the GH-3 it’s light and doesn’t unbalance the camera body. I like the retro look. I fitted a 49mm uv filter to add a bit of dust protection. So far I’m pleased with this purchase

Pentax D-BG6 for K1 & K1 mark2
An absolute must for K1 or K1ii. Extends the shooting time, balance and portrait options required for studio work. Imperious build quality weather proof and flexible battery tray options. Pentax have put a lot of thought into their design solutions when compared with other camera manufacturers. Leaps ahead and you really can tell Pentax are focused on photography. The grip feels at one with the body and affords a confidence each time I pickup my K1 mated to this grip no matter what lense I’ve fitted to the body. Highly recommended
