plasma cutter with pilot arc
5 of 5 found this helpful The plasma cutter is very simple to assemble, which is just as well as the manual that comes with it is somewhat lacking in information.
The wiring does not come with a plug and is non standard but as long as the green or yellow goes to earth and the black
goes to neutral the remaining colour is live
Setting the air pressure regulator baffled me for a couple of mins until I found it was a push and twist action to set it to the correct setting of 4bar
Once set up, I switched on the Compressor and then turned on the plasma cutter, attached the ground lead to some metal that I had, pressed the button on the cutter and proceeded to cut some shapes
I am glad that I decided to go for the slightly more expensive option of having a pilot arc, as without it, cutting some of the shapes would not have been possible.
To sum up it is a good machine for the money,and having the pilot arc is definitely worth the extra few quid.
The manual is not much use and I found most of the info i needed on youtube
