A must-read study for scholars
This is a relatively short study of the ideology and language of the British far right, but is packed with information and thoughtful observations. It has a focus on the National Front (NF) and British National Party (BNP), but also contains other more general discussion of the UK's versions of rightwing extremism. It is sharp, well-written and very accessible, and offers some very interesting points and arguments concerning the rhetorical, textual and ideological obsessions espoused by the leading officials and activists involved in the NF and BNP and other associated parties. There are also very useful discussions of the historiography on British fascism and the UK's post-war far right more generally. The critical evaluation of primary source evidence in particular provides the book with strong scholarly authority. If you are especially interested in analysing the ideological statements and policy positions of far right politicians in the British Isles in the 1970s, '80s and '90s, this is a must-read source. All in all, it is an excellent study.

A great source for film studio historians
Patricia Warren's book provides pleasingly thorough details on a whole range of film studios across the UK, their locations, and nice examples of film productions, both large and small. This includes local information about film production in London that was certainly news to me. It gave me good insights into the range of film-making activities across both the capital and elsewhere in Britain, especially in the early-to-mid 20th century. Although this edition was first published in 1995, it remains a very useful and comprehensive history of British film studios, and it is something one can dip into again and again.

A nostalgia trip for serious book collectors
In its time, this was an excellent magazine for Book Collectors, and it is real pity it is no longer published. It had regular montly articles on partiular authors or genres, and plenty of bibliographic detail on their publications. I regulaly consult issues of the magazine for definitive info.
