Tower T12001 1.5Ltr Soup Maker / Blender 1100w in Black - Brand New

Big letdown!
I've used the soup maker 3 times since I got it. It makes great soup but there is a serious design flaw in the unit, as cleaning it is really difficult. Basically you can't get the connectors at the base of the jug wet as they are the contact points to the motor. First time I cleaned it with a damp cloth just on the inside. It was OK but I could still smell the soup I had made. Second time I cleaned it with a damp sponge bit couldn't really get all the soup particles out and resorted to a bottle brush to try and unstick the bits on the plastic sides. My final time was today where I rinsed it out using running water, but didn't surge the Base. However, the Base did get wet, and I didn't dry it enough, so when I tried to make a fruit smoothie, the soup maker blew it's fuse and all the electrical sockets in my flat! Warning to would be users, you just can't get the jug part wet which makes it impossible to clean it properly! I now have to buy a replacement, so bit of an expensive attempts at making 3 lots of soup!
