Longer or shirter?
Mary Renault's 'The King must Die' was published in the 1950s. It is a successful product of its time, very detailed, full of good ideas. It is basically a retelling of the Theseus myth, the myth of thr young athlete and prince who kills the minotaur with his bare hands. 70 years ago, readers liked vefry a full story. Todsy many readers wantr a shorter story, such as can be foud in Robert Fraves Greek Myths.
I enjoyed re-reading this classic. But I wecomed Gtraves' shorter version too - Mark Lowe.

Lovely songs by a wonderful composer.
Wonderful enjoyable songs by a wonderful composer. What more could you ask?
There's a nice story behind them too. The elderly Haydn was on a visit to England.
He was treated like royalty. Beauriful women queued up to write poems for him,
He set them to music - hence these lovely tuneful canzonettes.
