Simple plug and play ,I have always watched my MPG and was an average of 36 I've used this for around 400 miles and currently getting 43. the best result was a 100 mile motorway journey getting 47 MPG. my car (a 15 yr old Picasso, 1.6 petrol) even does feel nippier on the acceleration and even has more oomph for the long winding hills.
