Neutral thoughts
2 of 3 found this helpful I have very neutral thoughts on the overall book. As always the Pearls reference Bible passages to back up what they write. In someways it made me feel I needed to be more of a doormat for my husband and I consider myself to be a submissive wife as far as biblical standards go. This took it to a whole new level. There were other parts where I laughed and then more parts where I felt angry with the advice Debi gave to some women who have shared their stories with her. There is an amazing scripture list in the back of the book. Save your money and check it out from the local library if you really want to read it. If you find you like it, buy a used copy if you hate it, you won’t be out any money by using the library.

Interesting Book
I have to admit I got a few laughs with this book, I raised my brow a few times as well. I bought the book for my husband and I to read together. While I don’t fully agree with everything Michael writes, if you’re living a life with a husband who is head of your family and he’s following God, it’s a great book to read.

Disappointed
1 of 1 found this helpful The writing was good but the discipline techniques used and the description of what was used to “discipline” such a small child really upset me. I found each topic to be things that all parents struggle with but the methods used to get their children to obey especially “the rod” were just too much.
