Spilled Blood Never Dries
0 of 1 found this helpful The very definition of a good film. By the Producers of Taken? Taen worked on a superficial level, but was rather insulting to the nature of the host country. 22 Bullets is a meditation on revenge which includes all the cinematic elements Taken managed without. Fans of Leon, will see a more fully-rounded villain with a heart. Fortunately a French film will never be an American film. Future revenge film makers should study this film before committing themselves.

Frank Black Cares
1 of 2 found this helpful One of the great mysteries of modern times is why Millennium is so good and yet The X-Files are not so good. Millennium raises many philosophical issues and is nicely equivocal. Talking of ambivalence, Peter Watts is one of the great ambivalent characters of television fiction. Lucy Butler is one of the great villainesses. I think the first season is best because they gave Chris Carter the most slack. Later, I guess, they reiened him in. Millennium is rather special. I dare to say that it's even new territory. Fans of H.P.Lovecraft should find it appealing. I can't wait for the Atlas of Lance's Face to come out.

Seek higher ground.
Most action films make the mistake of having the villains just fall over. Undifferentiated opposition is no fun at all. This avoids that mistake. Our hero is concealing the truth about an early triumph against a French troop. A vexed Napoleon sends out a team of specialists to retrieve a severed head. They are fine toothsome crew. Plenty of period novelty. Some great scenery.
