Love this book so much I've bought it three times.....
This is the third copy of this book that I have bought over the years and the reason I had to buy 3 copies is because I have given the other 2 away to people to introduce them to a fantastic story. This is a wonderful book, it is the introduction to an amazing future when earth discovers that humans are evolving and there really are other races out there in space. Julian May writes in a simple and descriptive way, yet with a depth and broadness of plot, that lets you identify and sympathise with the characters in the story very easily. There are 3 more books in this series (Jack the Bodiless, Diamond Mask and Magnificat) and I wish there were more. This series ties in with her other well known series 'The Saga of the Exiles' which was written before this series but which I think follows on from these books.
