Great Bluetooth coms system.
I bought this to go into my new Lazer Monaco Carbon Fibre helmet as my old BMW made coms System would not fit in. This costs half the price of the BMW system, but is much better. It offers voice command operation and is quite easy to use on the go, with three buttons and voice command taking care of all call and music related controls. It can be updates on line and connects to other marker’s systems. I can’t comment on the ‘daisy chain’ system that requires multiple Uclear units to extend the effective range.
Sound quality is brilliant. It is louder than any system I have used to date, which includes Sena, BMW and Albrecht. Voice is picked up and transmitted very well, and my initial reservations about a lack of mic and related noise have proven to be ill founded for my set up.
Instillation is easy, with the speakers with added mics fitting easily inside my helmet. Replacement speakers seem to be around £40 allowing you to use one control unit in multiple helmets fairly cheaply. Battery life is good. I get a week on a round commute of 75 mins a day and it still has charge left. I don’t always have music on, though. The control unit - although bigger than the BMWs (whose batteries resided in the helmet, unlike Uclear a which are in the control unit) isn’t especially bulky. From memory, it’s much smaller than the last Sena that I had. The lack of mic boom makes life a bit more straightforward and reduces weight, keeping the helmet nice and light, and it works better than any previous system in terms of call quality and music. I haven’t had any connection issues within Bluetooth. There are cheaper options ( I got mine ex-display and that made it much more tempting to try) but having used it, it is far and away my preferred system of the ones I have experienced so far. My only gripe is when music is playing, I can’t get Siri respond to give command. I resolved this by pressing the home key through my jacket! To be honest, not something that I really need. Usually I am too busy enjoying the ride!

Great, light and comfortable glasses
These Maui Jim Lighthouse sunglasses offer fantastic polarizing lenses (polarizing on both sides, aparently), light weight and fantastic comfort. It's easy to forget you are wearing them. The optical quality is excellent and the lenses really boost contrast. The arms flex and have resisted my one year old son's best efforts to snap them. The lenses have remained scratch free on a beach holiday, but I am careful with glasses i.e. In the case if they're not on my face. The case is slim and sturdy and the microfibre bag is also great quality. I currently own Ray Ban and Oakley glasses, but these are the ones I'm wearing the most, and there so light I don't even end up with marks on my nose. There's enough flex for them to stay on the top of my head as well as offering a secure fit when running around etc. My first Maui Jims, but not my last, I'm sure.

Fun and full of possibilities.
The usual Shubb quality (my regular Shubb must be at least 15 years old and still like new) this gives you a different voice whilst keeping in standard tuning! Good bed you some interesting sounds and most regular chords work if you clamp the A,D and G strings!
