Better than OK. Good as expected.
This product is not just OK, but it's not 'better than expected'. It is good, which is what I expected.

Another R Hitchcock success
Another great record by Robyn Hitchcock- well two records actually. I missed out on Mossy Liquor when it came out because I had stopped buying vinyl and was left waiting thirty odd years for it to appear on cd. It was worth the wait for Trilobite alone, but overall another typically marvellous product from the brain of Robyn Hitchcock.

Not bad, but not good.
Physically the book is in good condition and even has a polythene dust jacket, For an ex-library book there is minimal grubbiness. As a piece of writing it is ok, some of it is interesting but some is hackneyed and made me want to groan. The author seems over enamoured of the English upper classes to the extent that it feels like we are meant to be impressed just because someone is related to some Duke or Earl, but then the author did write for the Daily Mail. Much of the book is just a series of anecdotes, some of which are pretty lame, although others are better. Some of the writing is not very good either and doesn't flow well, as if every ounce of source material was going to be included somehow even if there is little or no context. Overall I'm glad I bought it however, but I am unlikely to read it twice and will most likely give it away. I have no doubt many people will enjoy it more than I have, and it will be of greatest interest to Ipswich Town supporters like me, which is probably why I don't hate it.
