A True Story Guaranteed to Chill you to the Bone!
1 of 1 found this helpful In 1983 I toured the Annie Palmer plantation where this story takes place. It was still under restoration at the time. All the workers had to be shipped in from the States because no one in Jamaica would step foot onto the grounds. This was after a two year battle with the government to get permission to restore the house. Apparently the people of Jamaica were more than happy to let the plantation house and the story of Annie Palmer be lost into obscurity. But the memory of Annie Palmer still haunts the island today. It is a story draped in Voodoo and sadism. So how could one woman have this much impact even on people today? Read the book and find out. And remember - Annie Palmer was real. Even Hollywood couldn't have dreamed up someone as sadistic as Annie Palmer.
