Booming bass
A good product overall. Very light, easy to operate and with a very long battery life. They are really comfortable to wear even for the funniest ear shape. I've been alway struggling with in ear headphones and never able to use the iPhone provided one. Musically they are just ok. Generally the sound is acceptable. Fast on transient, high not too spiky with a decent medium range. Just bass are too booming. It's a pity as even the soundstage is well balanced, but anytime a deep bass hit, it is going to saturate the whole frequency spectrum. After few hours of playing they soft a little bit and bass became less resonating, but still too good resent to have a balanced spectrum. However they are perfect for outdoor activities even on the wet-ish environment. The ear grip is really efficient to hold the plugs in their place, even with sudden movements. I'm overall happy about the product, as I bought it to do outdoor activities and enjoy some music while doing it, to listen properly to music, have other over hear headphones.

Total wireless flash control. Remote flash became a kids game.
When you wnat to take a portrait installing the flash over the camera and shooting, is flattening the face or the object and produces several harsh shades on the back of the subjet. Usually bouncing the flash on a white ceiling or on a white side wall, makes things slightly different. If you want to reach the best possible result, you need to remove the flash from the camera and next step is to use two or more flash torches. The great thing of the Canon Speedlite ST-E2 transmitter is that it can talk to a diverse number of flashes, maintaining all the automatic features as if the flash was mounted directly on the camera. So now you are able to put one flash on the side, one on the other, control the amount of output (light)you want from each of them and shot. In the market are available some third party wireless transmitters. They have the advantage to work with radio waves instead of infrared transmission, making them more efficient on transmitting, specially in huge enviroments and open air. Price wise they may cost less, but you'll buy the one able to operate in manual mode, so you'll have to spend time to calculate and set flashes manually; then you need one receiver for each flash to control. If you want a third party transmitter able to control flashes in auto (E-TTL II), you are going to spend one and half time the cost of the ST-E2 to control just one flash torch and twice to control two. Bottom line is that the ST-E2 delivers what it promises in a top class way. Could be nicer, could be smaller, but it's a lot of fun.
