An excellent value for 90% of the people who would buy a delay pedal.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this pedal solely for use at home, piddling around and occasionally recording and for my purpose there is absolutely no reason to spend a dime more on a delay pedal. This one delivers everything I want and need and the only negative, durability, isn't an issue.
This pedal is an excellent value at the price point. I have read other reviews that trend negative but it is my belief that those consumers expected a $200+ delay pedal for less than $50 which is ridiculous particularly since I suspect most of the negative reviewers aren't playing at a level that merits one of the higher end units (else they'd have saved their pennies and bought one those in the first place...)
The pedal is plastic. That's the only thing remotely negative I can say about it. It is my feeling that if you are gigging enough that this would be an issue then you need (and can afford) one of the mid-range pedals (Boss, etc.) for $100 more and shouldn't be bargain shopping in the first place.
For everyone else (the curious, home recorders, people who don't play out much) you'll be well-served by this unit.
If you are a professional looking for professional gear, go buy professional gear.
If you are a snotty little poseur more concerned with image and flash than functionality and, you know, actually playing, you'll hate this, your friends will make fun of you, and you should just go "borrow" mom's credit card and buy the one you really want (with the neat paint job) or better still, hang yourself.
...but if you're just looking for a good delay effect for playing with your friends, doing some home recording or just piddling around, you can't beat this item and you'd be foolish to spend more.
Note: The plate that you step on for switching is mounted on two spring loaded hinge pins. Press these in to remove the plate and access the battery compartment. You DO NOT need to unscrew anything. Don't ask why I mention this.
