Easy upgrade.
5 of 6 found this helpful Upgrading from a phenom x4 965 to the FX 8350 makes life much, much easier. I do lots of video encoding, photo editing, and gaming with this CPU and have had no hiccups whatsoever. With the mobo, I wish the SATA was faster and as personal preference I would wish I could run dual GPUs, but what can I expect with a smaller form factor board.
So, performance-wise, I give this combo an 8.5 out of 10 just simply because the price is right and it can handle most things you throw at it easily. On one more point of mention, in terms of heat, my system idles at 17c for CPU and 25-35c for mobo. Under load the highest temp I've seen the cpu hit is 45c. For cooling I'm using coolermaster evo on my cpu, one front and one rear fan (120mm) and 2 case fans (140mm) on top.
Cant beat this performance at this price, not to mention manufacturer warranties.
