The title says it all.
I'm a big fan of Bryson and I've read all his books. Some are better than others, but this is one of the best. He puts over a lot of scientific fact in an easily digestible fashion, seasoned with his usual sense of humour.

A very good read - compelling!
The diary of a young doctor; a lot of humour, but the difficulties that young medics face comes over very strongly. Had me laughing out loud on occasions, but not without a tinge of sadness. One is left wondering why anyone would subject themselves to such a life - very long hours, little social life, and to quote 'the meter in the car park is on a bigger hourly rate'. Compelling reading.
