There should be a choice!
I loved the white Maybelline eyelash curler refills when they were available, and wish that Maybelline would offer them for sale again. The whites had more of a flat top to them and seemed to curl my unruly eyelashes much better than the current rounded-top black ones, especially when I would heat them up briefly with my hair blow dryer. The curl seemed to last longer, too. Occasionally, the white ones would develop a very slight split along the top as they got older, but when that appeared, it meant that it was time to replace them. The newer black ones seem to wear out a lot more quickly than the older ones did, and they fall out of my curler when I least expect it and when it's least convenient. Plus, they simply don't curl as well, even when heated up. It may be that my eyelashes are better suited to the flatter-top ones, and someone else's respond better to the rounded tops. So, I believe there should be a choice between the flatter white ones and the rounded black ones on the shelves, so we can choose the ones that work best for our particular texture eyelashes.

Lovely Light-Up Ornament for an Aquarium
Penn-Plax's Crysta-Lite is an ornamental color-changing plastic night light to be placed directly in aquariums. It runs on a waterproof electric power cord with a small adapter. I have used several of these in my 29 gallon aquarium over the years, and it looks lovely at night after the hood's fluorescent bulb turns off for the day. It's very reliable, and I usually keep it on day and night, although it could be connected with an automatic on-off timer to save wear and tear on it. One thing to note is that after several years of running in a tank, the color change seems to stop, and it stays the color red for pretty much all of the time. My only real complaint is that the Penn-Plax Company has apparently stopped manufacturing these pretty lights, and they are very hard to come by now.
