replacement
This is just the same as the grinder that I have had for 40 years. Always easy to use and get good results for some of my favorite recipes. All is exactly as the one that finally showed cracks around the base of the plastic unit and the metal connection to the core grinder. This is such a positive statement to the quality. I never expected for it to last so long. I am sure there lots of KitchenAid small appliances out there that have stood the test of time like mine did.

fixture renewed with new batteries
ten year old solar lights needed new batteries........great to be able to order on line as the local source no longer carried this battery..........very convenient online purchase
