My favourite brand
1 of 1 found this helpful These strings have been my favourite for decades. I've tried other brands but nothing else feels as good, break in so quickly, or last as long.

A good replacement part that does the job.
The handle was a good replacement for the original one which had snapped off. A metal catch, spigot and return spring were also supplied in the kit. I only used the spigot as the other items were of a slightly different design to the originals and wouldn't fit correctly.
Instructions on how to dismount the door and remove the inner cover are to be found on YouTube. If you are a competent DIYer the whole repair process should take under an hour from start to finish. It took me a couple of hours as I had to swap around parts to get the right fit and also took time to clean parts of the machine which are normally inaccessible.

Incredibly tough and easy to apply paint
It is a fast drying paint, that goes on very easily and creates a very tough finish that is perfect for any arduous environment. Yes it's just the things for car wheels, but it's equally at home on any mechanical object that is going to face some harsh conditions. I used it on the runners and fittings for a garage door, it still looks mint after a year of service in an unheated environment.
A single tin goes a long way, it covers the surface well with good opacity and it is not runny either, you would have to be very heavy handed to get drips or runs.
I was trying to avoid using the cliche "It does what it says on the tin", but that is the perfect means to describe this product.
