Excellent value and convenient usb battery charger
Lost the original charger so bought this in a hurry. So far it has impressed me because it fits the battery nicely, has an attractive led strip charge level indicator, charges the battery fast (without getting too warm), runs off USB and is small (ideal for travel). And it was a very good price. It looks fine in terms of quality but cant say at this early stage how long it will last, but the signs are all good. So far it has performed better than the original in every way, although the Sony original was made of heavier duty plastic.

A great selection of rarely available live Fleetwood Mac radio broadcasts at a bargain price
An excellent collection of 6 cd's of live radio broadcasts from the 1970s and 1980s. Good sound quality because they are professional radio broadcasts, but a bit raw because no overdubs or studio remixing; just like being at the concerts. A good selection of songs, some rarely available live. Also includes a few old blues numbers from the Peter Green blues era played very well by this later adult rock lineup. Nice box and sleeve notes for the price. A steal at this price for 6 cd's of this quality.

An Elegant top-end Japanese sports watch -refined and subtle styling.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a Grand Seiko high accuracy quartz watch which is much more expensive than ordinary Seikos. Grand Seiko competes with Swiss luxury watches so it needs to be very good.
The case and bracelet are beautifully subtly styled and finished to a higher standard than most swiss competitors. The case is reasonably slim and has some nice angles. The bracelet is comfortable, with screw in extension links and half links, and a double push button clasp.
The dial and hands are also beautifully finished. The dial is finished in a miraculous deep inky black in daylight, but under lamplight there is in fact a fine pattern on the dial.
The hands and hour markers are luminous, the crown screws down and is protected by the case, and it's 100 m waterproof which all ties in with its sports credentials. The glass has a subtle curved glass, the crown and screwd down watch back are signed.
The movement is accurate to within 10 secs per year, and the second half falls spot on the second marks. The movement itself is a special in house quartz movement, it looks good and has sophisticated features that give it its accuracy and longevity. The hour hand can be set independently for when moving time zones and summer time.
All excellent so far but I have 3 criticisms:
1. Date change at midnight is slow, unlike other Grand Seikos and swiss watches, probably due to the hour hand independence (normal GS movements don't have this feature)
2. Date adjustment at end of short months requires using the independent hour change, which is more fiddely and long winded than a fast dedicated date change (normal GS movements don't have this feature)
3. Battery is long life but needs changing every 5 years, so need to ensure the waterproof case is resealed properly, and a good quality silver (not lithium) battery is used (same can be said for other quartz watches that are not light or movement powered).
These are minor criticisms of a nearly perfect watch that Seiko suggests won't need servicing for 50 years. I would buy it again, imo its worth alot more than it costs when compared to its competitors. It has a subtle elegance and presence on the wrist that few other watches at any price can match, an interesting high-tech Japanese alternative to a Rolex Explorer.
