Avoid these cheap replica parts
2 of 2 found this helpful This item looks to be the part for the job but once fitted the passive buttons (Recent apps and Back) work correctly but they do not light up as they should. There is an initial flash of the lights while the phone boots but nothing after that.
Also, fitting a Samsung flip case with screen on/off functionality will crash the display with this type of charging port fitted. The reason is that the sensors for the case being fitted is in the charging port and in this instance it has not been implemented correctly. It's just a cheap copy.
I eventually resolved all the above problems by purchasing a genuine Samsung charging port for about 20 pounds, so avoid cheap parts like this.

You're better off with a new screen, not refurbished

You can get a brand new screen for this price.

Not as good as the one I bought in the Samsung store

The EP-N5100 I bought directly from Samsung works with a larger number of phones, for example Huawei P30 Pro, iPhone X, Samsung Note 9 and Samsung S7 Edge to name but a few. This item does not work with many of those.
Also I noticed the startup led sequence for the one I bought from Samsung is red, green then orange LEDs. With this item the startup sequence is green then blue. The Samsung store version EP-N5100 charges with a red LED, this item charges with a blue LED. The charger I bought from the Samsung store weighs 180 grams. This item only weighs 125 grams. So all in all, this looks and feels like it's not a genuine Samsung item.
