Struggles above 40mm
Good quality product from Irwin however, overall width is not 50mm. Struggles with widths over 40mm wide which is not great when they were bought to grip 4x2 timbers which have a 47mm finished width.

Does what it says on the tin!
Product does what it states. A useful tool for anyone needing to service Hornby Steam locomotives.

Quality not great. Instructions provide...
Quality not great. Instructions provided poor. Item comes apart if used as directed and is not easy to gain access to reassemble. Doesn’t open up very much so any attempt at stretching shoes is not great.
