Superb lens and a way underestimated camera, fantastic value!

I have an SLR camera but needed a back-up camers and this does the job admirably. The C8080 is what used to be known as a "bridge" camera ie something between a compact and an SLR camera. This description is however rather unfair on the C8080 which is really aimed at top amateurs or professionals who need a second camera. The lens is not interchangeable but within it's admitably not huge zoom range it is a superb lens that will beat the "kit" lenses supplied with top name brand SLRs. Lens quality is so good that, having passed this camera on to my daughter, I am considering getting another for myself again. Olympus as a brand is so much smaller than its Nicannon competitors that it is often overlooked and this is a pity as they are acknowledged to produce some of the best "glass" out there. OK, let's be honest, this camera is a few years old. You take the risk of something going wrong and maybe it can't be fixed. But for a camera that can be bought (sometimes!) for around 100 quid this is a no-brainer. No it's not compact (though much smaller than an SLR)and if you only want a point-and-shoot it's not for you, but if you want a quality instrument that is usually way underestimated give it a go!

I want to read more about these characters

I wasn't sure how this book would go in mixing police procedural with magic and the supernatural but the reader is drawn into the concept quite easily and naturally. I'm halfway through and already know I want to read more about these characters
