Bright light?

Bought this camera for one reason, my canon 960is gave up working (I must get it repaired). The Lumix mostly trades on the Leica association, and many of us fall for it. The lens is sharp, no question, so the famous name is upheld by the quality. On the other hand, the processing, (which must be down to Panasonic) gives noisy results in anything other than bright light, and always has done, I mistakenly thought they would have improved this by now. Above base ISO you get noise, and the fs62 opts for the highest ISO most of the time, even with f2.8 in the equation, there is no manual ISO override. The camera is fine for what I am doing, and it is from the cheap end of the range, but proof once again that 99% of the time you get what you pay for.

Solid Quality

I bought this after many years of not owning any form of hifi, apart from a pair of Wharfedale active diamond speakers. Firstly it was reassuringly heavy, made of metal, and had the feel of quality. I decided on this model because it has bass and treble controls. As a general rule, I’ve found anything that hasn’t, is a bit naff. I like the sound, I like the dab + presets, I like the build quality, apart from the cd drawer being a bit scary sometimes. I’ve often wondered why car cd players have that lovely smooth operation, and many home hifi’s don’t. All in all, very happy.
