An absolute waste of money
3 of 4 found this helpful I purchased this product to use as a network bridge for a high-end digital music player that needs to be hard-wired to a router or modem. At the same time, it was to be a server for the said player, with all of my music library saved to the time capsule.
It took many hours and a visit to the Apple Genius Bar to get it to work in the first place. When it finally did work, it was only partly recognized by the network, thereby negating its ability to be used as I had intended. Even at that, this partial recognition was only achieved after having spent an entire morning on the phone with a technician. Now, after plugging it back in after a week of not using it, it was unable to be located on the network.
A nice piece of design, but based on my experience as well as that of many others - as I have discovered by consulting various online fora - one that obviously does not work with all modems or ISPs.
