Great Fun to Build - and looks Superb!
Very, very impressed with Metcalfe Models. This brewery was my first experience of them and gave me so much pleasure to build. The result is fantastic, just what I wanted. I should perhaps make it clear that I am not a railway modeller, but a wargamer, and wanted a small industrial complex for the Steampunk Victorian skirmish game "In Her Majesty's Name", published by Osprey. I wasn't expecting such a brilliant result, nor to have so much fun putting it together. Very clear instructions, beautifully printed card pieces, so much better than some other models I have tried over my many years. I'd recommend it to anyone, and I'm really looking forward to making other Metcalfe Models relevant to my subject areas. (Sorry, I haven't taken any photos yet - I'm just so keen to get my appreciation of this product in the public domain!)

Superb historical craft project.
I had one of these model Viking settlements years ago and had given up hope of ever getting another. The base boards are a lovely depiction of a river with a smaller tributary, and the rest of the heavy card models provide a variety of buildings, a viking trading ship and another under construction. Lots of little cut out people if you want them (including one using the privy to my grandsons delight!). They had great fun making it with me - it's very straightforward - and it's now been fought over by warbands on several occasions. Great stuff!

Gargoyles!
I actually bought these for my grandson, because he's heavily into Tyranids in Warhammer 40k. The gargoyles are great fun to assemble (although not for complete novices). As with all Warhammer material that I've encountered, they're well planned and produce a good looking product that will add spice to any wargames table.
