catalog review
i was looking for a catalog that would show all the train sets ever made during those years and what they consisted of. So if someone was selling a vintage train in a box i would know all the cars that it should have ,hopefully how they would would work ..what Lionel tried to accomplish with this set and how much was the original retail cost then If you know of such a catalog let me know

spegetti like plastic coal
1 of 1 found this helpful this stuff does not look like coal and it bounces out of the coal cars all over the table. the ideal coal should be made of a heavey or dense plastic in the shape of coal pellets (like fish gravel) it should be iarge enough to fill a coal car and when going up the belt small enough to catch well in the ribs of the belt but not to big to get stuck when going over the top of the belt (use black fish gravel)
