Into an unknown past world
An interesting, readable account of an unknown episode in the long history of the British Empire... it's 'final expedition'. It was at great cost to the Tibetans. The 20th Century marked the end of their isolation and this expedition presaged the eventual end of their nation as they'd known it.

Well presented
Not a particularly large book, compared to some other technical guides on the market, but it is well presented, with good illustrations, and it is comprehensive in its coverage of the various tanks/SPs, including Lend-Lease.

An interesting read
Having read at length about the Western and Eastern Fronts during WW2, this book comes as an interesting change of scene. It is an easy read, with maps and a straightforward lay out, and the links into subsequent events in WW2 are well made. I'm glad I bought it.
